My cousin Chris got married this weekend to beautiful Nichole! :) It was a very easy, laid back day and Nichole looked wonderful! She commented that she is not the “dressy type” but she sure did pull it off so well! Congratulations to both of you!

What a fun portrait session I had today. Not only was it with a great mom and her adorable son but my daughter went along with me to “assist”. I got to talk to her about light, sun angle, and how these are the types of portraits all mothers want with their kids!
no comments On Halloween weekend, who would guess that we would be anticipating snow! On the day of her wedding, Jen checked the weather frequently wondering if our rainy day would end up being a snowy one. The morning went really smoothly even though we were experiencing very early winter weather. The girls cooked up breakfast while getting ready and had plenty of time so they were not rushed. Shawn met up with the guys who had rented the limo for an extra hour in hopes of getting pictures around town before the wedding. The weather required the guys to go with plan B, so they had the limo drop them off at the church a bit early. Unfortunately, they were TOO early because no one was there and the building was locked. The limo had to drop them off somewhere so Jason decided the guys would all go to his best man’s father’s house who only lived a few blocks from the church. Not really thinking about how all six guys would get to the church, they hung out there for about an hour and had some drinks. When it was time to head out, they figured, it was only a few blocks so they’d walk to the church. No sooner were they to the end of the block when it started to pour. The poor guys had to run in the rain, getting soaked, with the wedding starting in less than an hour. Fortunately they dried off and didn’t let this set them back!
1 comment I actually met Erica and Dan (sadly) after their wedding, which I would have loved to photograph because they are the most delightful and easy to photograph couple. Dan is heading off to boot camp in December and they wanted to have some portraits taken before he left. They brought along their adorable dog, Abbie who was great considering there were a lot of distractions! We had a great time finding some “not so populated” spots in Ellicott City.
no comments Jason and Jen are having their wedding later this month, so I was happy to be able to fit an engagement session in for them before their big day! We had a great time at this session and enjoyed our last few “fun” shots of the couple in their football jerseys. We had a beautiful evening with a lot of perfect light! I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding later this month!
